Being in Berlin

Anthony Bourdain:

“Travel isn’t always pretty. It isn’t always comfortable. Sometimes it hurts, it even breaks your heart. But that’s okay. The journey changes you; it should change you. It leaves marks on your memory, on your consciousness, on your heart, and on your body. You take something with you. Hopefully, you leave something good behind.”

Berlin is a central part of our recent history.

and the Brandenburger Tor (or square) is Berlin’s iconic center.

The gate is spectacular by night with all the lights. It stands at the end of Berlin’s famous avenue, Unter den Linden (linden tree). No visit to Berlin is complete without a vist here.
Of course , everyone wants to see it, so the area around the gat is always crowded
Brandenburger Tor is a very popular site to visit. There is no need to fear thet you’ll be left alone here, but of course that is the case with all famous sites anywhere in the world.
The restaurants aroud the square are all in the upper pricestrata, but you won’t have to go far to find good alternatives.
